If you wish to take the next step in the application process, our website contains current employment opportunities, as well as applications for certified teachers.  Applicants for a teaching position must:

possess a baccalaureate degree
have an overall 2.2 GPA on undergraduate course work
pass PRAXIS I Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST).  Student with a Composite ACT score of 22 or better or 1030 or better on SAT is exempted from taking Praxis I.
pass Praxis II Content Knowledge

New Employee Payroll Process

View Payroll Process for New Hires

1. Supervisor / Principal

  • Completes the Recommendation to Hire documentation.
  • Routes documentation to the Human Resources Department.
  • Ensures the employee completes the new employee application and payroll application.
  • Routes applications to Human Resources and Payroll.

2. Human Resources / Personnel

  • Receives the completed application and Recommendation to Hire form.
  • Approves and routes hire documentation.
  • Sends information to Payroll and Health Insurance.

3. New Hire

  • Must complete fingerprinting through APSB.
  • Must complete drug screening through N-Compliance.
  • Requirements should be completed immediately.

4. Payroll Department

  • Completes payroll documentation with employee.
  • Creates payroll/personnel file.
  • Enters employee into payroll system.
  • Begins retirement enrollment if applicable.

5. Retirement Enrollment

  • Processes TRSL enrollment for eligible employees.
  • Completes retirement documentation.

6. Payroll Review

  • Reviews employee file for completion.
  • Calculates salary and deductions.
  • Finalizes employee payroll information.

7. Health Insurance

  • Completes insurance enrollment paperwork.
  • Processes insurance deductions.
  • Enters employee information into the OGB portal.

Important Reminder

Fingerprinting and drug screening should be completed as soon as possible to avoid delays in payroll processing.
